  1. Multiple Chronic Conditions Among Adults Aged 45 and Over: Trends Over the Past 10 Years. NCHS Data Brief, No. 100, July 2012. This publication presents data from the National Health Interview Survey, 1999-2000 and 2009-2010. "The percentage of adults aged 45-64 with two or more of nine selected chronic conditions who did not receive or delayed needed care due to cost increased from 17% to 23%, and the percentage who did not receive needed prescription drugs due to cost increased from 14% to 22%."
  2. Prevalence of Uncontrolled risk factors for Cardiovascular Disease: United States, 1999-2010. NCHS Data Brief, No.103, August 2012. This publication presents data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHNES). "The prevalence of uncontrolled high blood pressure and uncontolled LDL cholesterol declined between 1999-2000 and 2009-2010, but no significant change occurred in the percentage of adults who smoke cigarettes."
  3. The Health of Male Veterans and Nonveterans Aged 25-64: United States, 2007-2010. NCHS Data Brief, No.101, August 2012. This publication presents data from the National Health Interview Survey, 2007-2010. Veterans were more likely than nonveterans to have health insurance."
  4. Generalists and Specialty Physicians: supply and Access, 2009-2010. NCHS Data Brief, No.105, September 2012. This publication presents data from The National ambulatory Medical Care Survey. "Generalist physicians were more likely to set aside time for same day appointments (82%) compared with specialty physicians (49%) in 2009-2010."
